The roots of H&N Sport go back to the 1830s. In the beginning there was the industrial production of lead sheet and lead foil: lead ingots were cast into plates, sometimes with the addition of tin, and rolled out by hand into foils. These were used to knock out tobacco and tea boxes. In 1847 Carl Georg August Natermann bought the former fortification tower from Hann. Münden and began manufacturing lead shot. Up until the 1980s, the leads shot was produced here under the name “Lätare”. In addition to lead seals and plumb bobs, bullets in a wide variety of calibers were made for the target rifles of that time. Since the 1950s, H&N has been manufacturing muzzle-loading bullets and projectiles for large-caliber weapons, as well as air rifle pellets in a wide variety of calibers and for a wide variety of applications. The production takes place exclusively on self-constructed machines.
